The first step is a simple conversation. I ask my clients to fill out a brief inquiry form with any specific "must-have" details, like a beloved plant or a certain architectural feature. This allows me to review the building and confirm I can capture the perspective you’re looking for.

The Consultation & Quote
Once I’ve reviewed your photos, we’ll discuss the size and orientation. I will then provide a formal quote and a timeline. At this stage, a full payment is taken to secure your place in my studio diary and begin the creative process.

The Creation & Delivery
This is where the magic happens! I spend 2–4 weeks hand-drawing your property on professional Fabriano Bristol Board. I’ll share a preview with you before your original artwork is carefully packaged and shipped to your door, ready to be framed and cherished.
The Pricing
Every portrait I create is a labour of love, meticulously hand-drawn to capture the unique character of your property. My pricing is based on the size of the artwork and the level of intricate detail involved.
Grand Illustration.
Recommended for larger homes, wedding venues, or estates. This size allows me to capture the sweeping landscape and finer textures.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to provide the photos?
Most of my work is created from photography, which is perfect for a surprise portrait gift. If you have a clear, high-resolution photo of the building, that’s great! If not, I can often use several different photos to piece together the perfect perspective.
Can you draw on-site?
Yes! If the property is within 50 miles of Berkshire, I am happy to visit and work on-site. This allows me to capture the specific light and atmosphere of the location in real-time. Please note that on-site visits may incur an hourly rate and travel fee.
What types of buildings do you draw?
I love the variety of architecture. I’ve been commissioned for everything from modest cottages and city townhouses to grand châteaus, castles, and garden follies. I can also illustrate interior rooms, specific architectural details, or even a panoramic view of a small town.
Can you include specific garden features?
Absolutely. In fact, I encourage it! Whether it’s a specific climbing rose, a grand oak tree, or a particular landscaping feature, these "extras" are often what make a property feel like home. Just let me know which special features are important to you.
How long does a commission take?
Typically, a hand-drawn illustration takes between 2 to 4 weeks to complete, depending on the complexity of the building and my current commission list. If you need a piece for a specific date (like a wedding or a birthday), please let me know as early as possible.
In what format will I receive my art?
I generally work in both landscape and portrait orientations on high-quality, Fabriano acid-free Bristol Board ultra-smooth surface at 250gsm. You will receive the original physical artwork, which is signed and carefully packaged for delivery.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, I am happy to ship my portraits worldwide! I love knowing that my work finds homes in different corners of the globe—from townhouses in London to châteaus in France or family homes in the USA and Australia. For more information, please email me for costs.
