About me..

Getting fully immersed in the Royal Drawing School and overcoming my artistic fears has been my mission for this year. After a roller-coaster of valleys and mountains, I am now coming through to the other side, seeing the possibilities clearly ahead.

Ingrained in my DNA is the need to draw, inspired by my unique life experience. This drive has seen my artistic journey travel full circle: from a degree in Sculpture, many design roles, and returning to fine art drawing. As I delve into psychogeography, this intersects with my personal perspective on the liminal.

This intersection is forged through the physical mark-making process. The action of my body reflects my environment, uniting the loves of my life: movement, expression, action, the natural world (inner and external), the unknown, and the push against borders to find a deeper expression.

My inspiration is drawn from a wide range of creative mediums. Whether it be the dynamism of Anselm Kiefer, Tom Miller's journalistic view on Borders, John O'Donohue's inspirational words, the passion of a dance piece, or a gallery visit that takes me into an orbit of possibilities, each enriching my practice.

The future is bright—and it definitely has more colours than just orange!
